Mage: New Orleans
Founded in the 1910s, The Brass Tax has seen the rise of Blues, Jazz, Swing, Big Band, and Rock ‘n Roll. Though it has never quite gained mainstream attention, many of Louisiana’s most famous musicians have played the venue. Even today, it remains as it always has: a dark, smoky, intimate bar, where the vampires of New Orleans come to cut backroom deals.
The older, classier, or most ostentatiously anachronistic vampires make up the regular patrons. The bartender is a ghoul, and the other staff are held in thrall via one means or another.
The Brass Tacks is a designated Elysium (a neutral and violence-free space, where social interaction is encouraged) for the vampires. After the truce was signed with the Tradition Council, the vampires wasted no time in adding the club to the Register, marking it as a place where mages were not allowed to interfere. Interestingly, this does not preclude certain mages being invited to the club, something that happens from time to time, and with great secrecy.
